What is a photojournalist?

What is a photojournalist?  No dictionary needed to define the word; just break it down in two words and you will see it defines itself.  A Photo-Journalist is someone that tells a story with a still or video camera without the use of a reporter.  That my friends is what you and I do every time we take a picture to record a sweet or bitter moment in time.  Since I was a child and picked up the first Polaroid Camera my Dad was given by a nice Soldier getting shipped off to another country, I became curious about how to use it.  I did not figure it out without the help of a photojournalist that used to go inside the restaurants in Juarez, MEX to take pictures of people having fun.  I loved that camera and going around smiling to the neighbors and encourage them to smile as I snapped pictures and showed them the final print..  Today I came to find out that the Polaroid is still at my Mom's House somewhere in a box in the attic. I think back when I fist used it and realize that that nice Soldier that gave it to my Father left a treasure behind.  As I got older an progressed with Technology and the use of the Digital Cameras I came to find out that Polaroids are no different than Digital Cameras; they both reveal an image instantly but one faster than the other.  The main thing they both do is record a moment in time that enhances of brings down our emotions.  Looking back at my portfolio of photos both digital and printed, I see but a reflection of what I have always been and what my friends are; Photojournalists.  It makes me happy and sad at the same time... Happy because in most of my pictures my friends, family, and I are smiling.  I feel sad because of the dark moments.  Take for instance when a GANG of UNIFORMED MEN made me see through my lens a sad reality of life. As they were beating me up for many hours, a sign to me of DISRESPECT for a child that is and forever will be a PHOTOJOURNALIST, my Dad and that nice soldier flashed through my mind and I'm sure they protected me.  The day will come that our old mighty GOD will forget to take a picture of those men that DISRESPECT his KIDS that like to play with CAMERAS.  This being said, I'm not sad no more because without that CAMERA, one of my tools to work, that was taken away by that GANG we call the POLICE; I still ate, prayed, and loved the beauty of my snap shots. They can keep that sad memory worth more than the $500 in a device called an iPhone "evidence" of the brutality.  Little do they know that that device puts food on my table and that of my daughter.  When someone DISRESPECTS a child of GOD working to pay for his basic necessities; FOOD, SHELTER, & TRANSPORTATION; he will do JUSTICE and DISRESPECT them in his own way.  Now my friends go out an take pictures everyday.  In my eyes anyone who handles a camera is a PHOTOJOURNALIST.  Just make sure that if you see someone coming at you to beat you up for having that wonderful TOY, tell them to AIM for your EYES and don't forget to tell them to SMILE:)

Consequences of a Short Film "The Paperboy Route"

Thanks to one of my latest short films entitled "The Paper Boy Route" on http://www.youtube.com/falcongraphix  I got my butt kicked by the COPS in El Paso, TX  They stormed my FALCON GRAPHIX STUDIO in the middle of the night and ILLEGALLY BUSTED MY DOOR; no warrant for my arrest.  Several Cops kicked and punched me to the ground and back up not only at my viusual arts studio bedroom where I was already laying down, but at the holding tank downtown too.  Somehow the short film was seen by an EPPD officer or the DA and sent the SWAT TEAM to KILL ME.  I'm hanging in there with INTERNAL BLEEDING & UNABLE TO WALK WELL due to the blows.  I did that video to illustrate my frustration about my HOMETOWN of El Paso, TX where there is MORE and  MORE CORRUPTION here than in MEXICO.  WAKE UP my friends get over the FEAR and COME OUT and enjoy the streets of the Beautiful SUN CITY.  If you wish to HELP a GOOD MAN, your Visual Artist Friend Jose A. My DOG HOURS & his missing HUEVOS

As many of you know I adopted a 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier and named him Hours. Today I was observing his private parts, now before you start making jokes or closing this browser page, I will explain... How cruel, how can they do this to such poor animal; he is entitled to have his HUEVOS, like you and I my male friends. Nonetheless, the reason why they AMPUTATED them was because of the logic behind the Humane Society about too many Dogs being left behind or dropped off at the animal shelters and not enough people to adopt them. I agree that there should not be so many ORPHAN DOGS out there. The reason why there is so many out there is because most people no longer take the time to OBSERVE the theraputic benefits these animals have. They give you nothing but UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Some people rather take the time to deal with the MITOTES/BULL SHIT of everyday life that give you nothing but a headache and perhaps keep you being an FDA JUNKIE.

Lets go back to the observation I made today about Horus no longer having Huevos and why I think it's cruel to AMPUTATE them and a double standard. When I worked in the media I used to come across news stories about CHILD MOLESTERS & RAPISTS. In my opinion the HUMANE SOCIETY along with the CRIMINAL COURTS should step in and AMPUTATE the HUEVOS of those CHILD MOLESTERS & RAPISTS. This way there is not that many going around like these POOR ORPHAN DOGS. If we do it to MALE DOGS that display nothing but LOVE & AFFECTION, why not do it to those SONS OF BITCHES that are the PERVERTS of our SOCIETY?

Now go out there to the HUMANE SOCIETY and adopt an HUEVO AMPUTATED DOG to get some LOVE & THERAPY for the sake of your SANITY. Take time for yourself this year and don't allow your "TRUSTED DOCTOR" to make you an FDA JUNKIE. ANIMALS especially DOGS are one of the BEST THERAPIES and will not drain your pockets like the deductibles you pay every month to the pharmacies and the "trusted doctors" and you truly get the benefits of a long time friend that will LOVE, RESPECT, PLAY with you and your family, and most importantly will keep YOU & YOUR FAMILY SANE. I beg you to come back to REALITY my Friends and SMILE NOW, CRY LATER.

Thanks to http://fathers4kids.org, some of my Facebook friends that have direct contact with staff at the Attorney General's Office, the Public Library, and Google Search that led me to these; I succeeded to modify my Child Support Order & get Joint Custody of my Little Falcon Wing without setting foot in the court nor paying an attorney.
The great thing my friends is that you too have access to these if you use the internet & social networks wisely.  I encourage you to do so and not allow those lazy, ignorant, and untrained child support staff to treat you like CRAP.
To the supervisors of the child support offices, train your staff properly and help those non-custodial parents that are doing everything in their power for the sake of their children.  Realize that most of them due to a divorce, separation, or disability can not afford an attorney.  Follow the rules of the the family law as described on the attorney general website...  IT'S NOT BRAIN SCIENCE!

TO SERVE AND PROTECT

You really want to exhaust the patience of a saint I have?  Tell me about how El Paso Police Department has ripped you off today.  What do I mean by this?  I was stepping out of my Mom's house in El Paso, TX and saw an officer "investigating" a nice gentleman that has been staying at the Opportunity Center and just like others that stay there, he keeps a look out on the neighborhood.  He was requesting to search his belonging without a cause; what a BUDD HOLE!  Earlier the man was just walking around one of  neighborhood alleys at 6 am, said hello to me and petted my dogs.  I told the officer, "this nice gentleman does nothing wrong in this neighborhood, I personally see him every morning walking to get some exercise." The officer asked us both to identify ourselves and I said, "What for Sir?"  "We are not doing anything wrong"...  But we both cooperated.  As he ran our IDs to check for warrants I noticed my Mom's neighbor not being able to start his car.  Once the officer was done checking my ID, the neighbor asked me if I had jumper cables.  I went inside my Mom's house to look for them and take them with me to help him out.  By this time the Officer was asking my neighbor for his ID as well all because he asked the officer to help him with jumper cables as well.  The officer told him that he could not help him; "SORRY"  he said.  I started to walk around the patrol car and noticed a slogan that reads "To Serve and Protect"  I questioned the officer about the slogan, "What exactly does that mean sir?"  He responded, "I don't know"  I proceeded by telling him... "Do you realize that your pay check comes from TAX PAYER MONEY and those TAX PAYERS are the man in need of jumper cables, my neighbor, who needs help to get his car started to get to work just like you are sir."  "Why can't you help him?"  "Isn't that what the slogan means?"  "I don't see you SERVING AND PROTECTING by asking him, the other homeless guy, and myself for our IDs to check for WARRANTS."
Needless to say he had no answer to my questions or petitions.  Is this the kind of cops YOU PAY FOR with your TAX DOLLARS in this city?  I'm sorry, but I don't.  You probably question yourselves how to go about solving this problem.  Well, you my TAX PAYER FRIEND have the right to call your local POLICE DEPT. office and ask for the direct contact to the CHIEF OF POLICE OFFICE or contact the CITY COUNCIL.  These numbers are also available on the Internet if you GOOGLE the City Web Site. 
Over 20 YEARS, my Mom and Family has lived in the neighborhood and the real COPS are the HOMELESS people at the OPPORTUNITY CENTER.  They have never broken in to her house, they always look out for the kids, and patrol the area.  So who is the real criminal in this situation?  The men taking a walk around the neighborhood alleys, the man that needed jumper cables to get to work, or the COP invading our privacy?  You tell me...
One of my 2011 resolutions is to provide jobs, shelter, and ammunition to the homeless; the REAL COPS :)

Psychiatry has no place in society. Politicians & Law Enforcement, go after the real drug dealers at mental hospitals where the overdose patients. God is the only one that can fix a brain disorder not these psychiatrists & nurses. Friends open your eyes to alternative medicine and techniques like meditation, prayer, and hypnosis. If I was Jesus I would shut these Hell Hospitals down and put all those drug dealing doctors and nurses in jail forever with an eternal IV full of those DRUGS so they can know what those patients feel. I witnessed patients at two hospitals get their brains screwed with by nurses and doctors forcing medication down their throats or with injections; medications that should be illegal. I kept hearing the doctors & nurses telling the patients the Meds would make them feel better. Bull Shit! If these were not DRUGS these poor human beings would not get hooked on them. God have mercy on the souls of those nurses and psychiatrists who want to play God with mental patients. Only the greatest creator GOD can heal them. And you my friends can help by volunteering time at these Hell Hospitals giving these patients alternative therapy. Good Luck getting permission to do so, but it's worth a try.

Is this news?  I don't thinks so!  What's so new worthy about it?  This is happening everyday in Mexico... What's new about it?  The press & media should be writing about how the violence in Mexico is bringing something positive to the USA.  I bet they don't know what it is.  Do you?  Send me an e-mail and I'll tell you and what my artist and musician friends are doing to help the families of the victims and bring smiles to the people of El Paso Texas.  The media unfortunately is not doing that; just feeding you negative stuff most of the time that you and your our children are reading in public, watching on television, and listening to it on the radio.  So sad:(

Obama Health Care Reform

Thanks to the Obama Health Care Reform several of my friends and relatives that are disabled and can't get Medicare until two years of being on disability because of the new laws, were able to get affordable health insurance. I'm sure if the people that complain about it were in the same situation will not complain about it.  I hope if more republicans get elected wake up and support it.  We can only hope... Right?

Texas Alcohol Law Pertaining to Convenience Stores has me Puzzled.

     I went in to a convenience store with my 15 year old nephew and my 23 year old brother to buy some chips, ice, and beer. When we got to the counter I was carrying the beer with me and the cashier asked us three for our IDs. I said I'm the one that is buying the beer why should you card all of us. She said that there is a Texas Alcohol law that prohibits them from selling alcohol to minors if they have been near the beer aisle or have pointed at the beer selection. I was puzzled to find out about this specially after she said she could lose her job and we could get arrested or fined if she would sell me the beer in the presence of a minor. I did not argue with the cashier as to not cause a scene just calmly walked out of the store and went to another convenience store. 

     In my opinion this is bullshit, to me it sounded more of a store policy than a Texas Law. Anyway I went to another store and asked the cashier if such law was true. He said yes, but it was up to the cashier on duty to make the decision about selling the beer or not. He also told me that the law is only enforced if the minor is asked to carry the beer to the cash register. The reason why this was enforced upon me at the other store was because the cashier was assuming I was buying the beer for my nephew, a minor. Another reason why I was puzzled was because I've never ran into this situation when buying alcohol with a minor with me at a grocery store or even a liquor store. A few days before this incident I walked in to a liquor store with my 8 year old niece and I was able to buy a bottle of Tequila.

     

 I'm thinking about forwarding this to the Penn & Teller's Bullshit Show.
